What the Judges are looking for

The award recognizes individuals showing excellent performance in the area of project controls in all business sectors by honoring project control managers for their accomplishments and those who provide the most effective demonstration of their project controls competences, no matter the scale, number or type of projects referenced.


Project Controls is a process that encompasses the resources, procedures, and tools for the planning, monitoring, and controlling of all phases of the capital project lifecycle. This includes estimating, cost and schedule management, risk management, change management, earned value progressing, and forecasting.


The Outstanding Project Controls Manager Award application includes three criteria that must be met. Descriptions of contributions must highlight impact, outcomes, and results of the nominee’s efforts to Project Controls.

  • A resume or curriculum vitae of the nominee may be included to expand the requested data and identify other professional accomplishments, but must include a summary document. The resume/curriculum vitae and summary document will not count toward the stated page count maximum.
